Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz spaghetti (or your favorite pasta)
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 4 oz crumbled feta cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente (about 8 minutes).
- 2. Sauté Garlic: While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3. Add Tomatoes: Incorporate halved cherry tomatoes into the skillet. Cook for about 3 minutes until softened.
- 4. Combine Ingredients: Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water. Toss drained pasta into the skillet with tomatoes and garlic. Add reserved water to create a light sauce.
- 5. Add Feta and Season: Sprinkle crumbled feta over the mixture and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Simmer for another minute.
- 6. Garnish & Serve: Plate your dish and finish with freshly torn basil leaves on top. Drizzle more olive oil if desired.
