- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- ½ cup neutral oil (peanut, avocado, vegetable, or canola)
- 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
- ¼ cup red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- For the chili oil, combine chili flakes, sesame seeds, minced garlic, minced ginger, sugar, and salt in a heat-safe bowl.
- Heat neutral oil in a small pan until hot; pour over the chili mixture to infuse flavors.
- In a large pot, melt coconut oil over medium heat. Sauté white parts of green onions with minced garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add broth and bring to a simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in wontons and soy sauce; simmer until heated through.
