Ingredients

  • 1 vanilla cake mix (prepared and cooled)
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tbsp corn starch
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cups strawberries (chopped)
  • 4 cups pineapple (chopped)
  • 4 bananas (sliced)
  • 23 cups whipped topping
  • 810 cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vanilla cake mix according to package directions. Once baked, cool and cube the cake.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine milk and sugar. Stir in corn starch and salt until smooth. Cook while stirring until thickened; remove from heat and add vanilla extract and butter.
  3. In Mason jars or a trifle bowl, layer cubed cake, pudding, strawberries, pineapple, and banana slices. Repeat layers until full.
  4. Top with whipped topping and garnish with cherries.
