  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Thaw lobster tails if frozen. Use kitchen scissors to cut down the center of each shell, exposing the meat while keeping it attached at the base.
  2. In a bowl, mix buttermilk and Old Bay seasoning. Submerge lobster tails in this mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, add flour. Remove lobster tails from the buttermilk, letting excess drip off, then dredge in flour until fully coated.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the coated lobster tails for about 4-6 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately with dipping sauces or sides.
