- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme (optional)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Optional: Sear each chicken breast in olive oil over medium-high heat for about 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Place the seasoned chicken in the crockpot. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, and thyme if using; pour this mixture over the chicken.
- Cook on low for about 6 hours or high for about 3 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with water until smooth and stir into the crockpot to thicken the gravy.
- Shred or keep the chicken whole before serving; garnish with parsley.
