Description

Crockpot French Onion Meatballs are the ultimate comfort food that combines savory beef meatballs with a rich, flavorful sauce. This easy-to-make dish is perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a cozy family dinner or a festive gathering. The slow-cooking method allows the flavors to meld together beautifully, while the melted mozzarella cheese adds an irresistible cheesy finish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until fully combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Transfer the formed meatballs to the crockpot and evenly distribute them.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the beef broth and French onion soup mix until well combined. Pour over the meatballs in the crockpot.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until fully cooked. For the last 15 minutes of cooking, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and cover until melted.
