Description

Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, these Fried Mozzarella Balls are perfect for dipping! Try this easy recipe today!


Ingredients

  • 16 oz Bocconcini (drained and patted dry)
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 3 Eggs (beaten)
  • 1.5 cups Plain bread crumbs
  • 1.5 tsp Garlic powder (divided)
  • 2.5 tsp Dried Italian seasoning (divided)
  • 1.5 tsp Salt (divided)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Drain the bocconcini and pat dry.
  2. Set up three bowls: mix flour with 0.5 tsp salt and 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning in one; beat eggs in another; combine breadcrumbs with remaining seasonings in the third.
  3. Coat each mozzarella ball by rolling in flour, dipping in eggs, and rolling in breadcrumbs; repeat for a double coat.
  4. Freeze the coated balls for 1-2 hours.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F and fry balls in small batches until golden brown (about 60-90 seconds).
  6. Use a slotted spoon to drain on paper towels; season with salt before serving.
