- 16 oz Bocconcini (drained and patted dry)
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 3 Eggs (beaten)
- 1.5 cups Plain bread crumbs
- 1.5 tsp Garlic powder (divided)
- 2.5 tsp Dried Italian seasoning (divided)
- 1.5 tsp Salt (divided)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Drain the bocconcini and pat dry.
- Set up three bowls: mix flour with 0.5 tsp salt and 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning in one; beat eggs in another; combine breadcrumbs with remaining seasonings in the third.
- Coat each mozzarella ball by rolling in flour, dipping in eggs, and rolling in breadcrumbs; repeat for a double coat.
- Freeze the coated balls for 1-2 hours.
- Heat oil to 350°F and fry balls in small batches until golden brown (about 60-90 seconds).
- Use a slotted spoon to drain on paper towels; season with salt before serving.
