  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons fresh-squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Spike Seasoning (or similar)
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from chicken breasts and cut shallow slits in each breast for better marinade absorption.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, seasonings, and herbs until combined.
  3. Place chicken in a Ziploc bag or container; pour marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 5–6 hours.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat; drain excess marinade from chicken.
  5. Grill chicken for about 3–4 minutes per side until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
