  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp key lime juice (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5 loaf pan.
  2. Cream together softened butter and sugar in a medium bowl until fluffy.
  3. Mix in eggs, key lime zest, key lime juice, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder, and buttermilk; gently mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 45 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. While the bread is baking, whisk together powdered sugar and remaining key lime juice to make the glaze.
  7. Let the bread cool for 10 minutes before transferring it to a tray and pouring the glaze over it.
