Le fondant à l’orange is a delightful dessert that perfectly marries the vibrant flavors of fresh oranges with rich chocolate, creating a treat that’s both visually stunning and irresistibly tasty. Served in hollowed-out orange peels, this elegant dessert is not only a feast for the palate but also a showstopper at any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 oranges
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g flour

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting off the tops of the oranges and carefully scooping out the flesh. Reserve the juice.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, 5 cl orange juice, eggs, melted butter, and melted chocolate. Mix until smooth.
  3. Gradually add flour and stir until well combined.
  4. Fill each hollowed orange with the batter and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake at 180 °C for about 20 minutes or until set. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with powdered sugar and fresh mint.
