Ingredients
- 1 pound jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves (chopped)
- 1 tsp minced jalapeño
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional: 2 tsp tequila
Instructions
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, jalapeño, brown sugar, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper; blend until smooth.
- Marinate shrimp in the mixture for 2 to 3 hours in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates.
- Thread shrimp onto skewers and grill for about 3 to 4 minutes per side until opaque.
- Serve immediately with fresh lime wedges and garnish with cilantro.
