Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 g all-purpose flour
  • 175 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 g butter (softened)
  • 400 g ground hazelnuts (or walnuts/almonds)
  • 400 g chopped nuts (or almonds)
  • 350 g brown sugar
  • 400 g dark chocolate (for coating)
  • 6 tbsp apricot jam (or any fruit preserve)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, eggs, softened butter, and salt to form a smooth dough. Roll it out evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Spread the apricot jam over the dough to add flavor and help hold the nuts in place.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter with milk and brown sugar until dissolved. Stir in ground hazelnuts and vanilla seeds until well combined.
  5. Evenly spread the nut mixture over the jam-covered dough.
  6. Bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into triangles.
  7. Melt the dark chocolate and dip each triangle into the chocolate, letting them set completely.
