- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1/8 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg yolk (room temperature)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup + 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 4 Oreos (chopped; plus more for topping)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup + 1/8 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add egg yolk and vanilla; mix until combined. Fold in flour, salt, baking soda, and chopped Oreos.
- In another bowl, melt butter and chocolate chips until smooth, then allow to cool slightly. Whisk together the sugars, egg, and vanilla until fluffy; stir in melted chocolate mixture. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In the prepared pan, alternate spoonfuls of cookie dough and brownie batter. Press down evenly and top with extra Oreos if desired.
