  • 23 tbsp milk or heavy cream (for optional glaze)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for optional glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 12-cup bundt pan.
  2. Cream softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 5-6 minutes).
  3. Add eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated before adding the next.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract and distilled white vinegar.
  5. In another bowl, sift together cake flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. In a small bowl or cup, combine buttermilk with red food coloring until blended.
  7. Gradually alternate adding the dry ingredients and red buttermilk mixture into the batter, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix just until combined.
  8. Pour the batter into your prepared bundt pan. Gently tap it on the counter to release air bubbles.
  9. Bake for 75-85 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
