Description

Rosemary lemonade is a refreshing summer drink that elegantly combines the bright tartness of fresh lemons with the aromatic essence of rosemary.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 fresh lemons (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 cups water (divided)
  • 6 sprigs fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Zest all lemons into a bowl; set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, mix 1 cup of water, lemon zest, sugar, and 3 rosemary sprigs. Heat until just below simmering, then steep for 20 minutes.
  3. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve and cool completely.
  4. Juice the lemons to yield at least 1 cup of juice.
  5. In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice and cooled syrup; add remaining cold water to taste and stir well.
  6. Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and rosemary sprigs.
