Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 thick slices of French or Italian bread
  • Garlic butter (mixed with minced garlic and parsley)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread garlic butter on each slice of bread and arrange on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Season shrimp with salt and pepper, add to skillet, cooking until pink and opaque (2-3 minutes per side).
  5. Remove shrimp and deglaze skillet with white wine (or broth), simmering for 1-2 minutes before adding lemon juice and remaining butter.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet, coating well with the sauce before serving in bowls with garlic bread.
