Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef or turkey
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 15 oz can diced tomatoes
- 8 lasagna noodles (broken)
- ½ cup freshly grated parmesan
- 1 cup grated mozzarella
- ½ cup ricotta
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar (optional)
- Chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat until fully browned; drain excess grease.
- Transfer the cooked meat to your slow cooker and add diced onion, minced garlic, broth, marinara sauce, and diced tomatoes. Mix well.
- Cover and cook on Low for 6-8 hours or High for 3-4 hours.
