Ingredients

  • Olive oil
  • Medium white onion
  • Garlic cloves
  • Ground beef
  • Tomato puree
  • Red apple vinegar
  • Tomato passata
  • Beef stock
  • Fresh basil
  • Dried oregano
  • Spaghetti
  • Crusty white rolls
  • Butter
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet, sauté diced onion until golden, then add minced garlic.
  2. Brown ground beef in the skillet and stir in tomato puree.
  3. Pour in red apple vinegar; reduce slightly before adding tomato passata, beef stock, herbs, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 25 minutes.
  4. Cut tops off bread rolls and scoop out centers. Mix melted butter with garlic paste and parsley; brush onto rolls.
  5. Cook spaghetti until al dente, combine with beef sauce.
  6. Fill each roll with the spaghetti mixture, top with mozzarella cheese, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes until crispy.
