  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheet, rolling each in cane sugar before baking for 12–15 minutes.
  5. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring them to a cooling rack.
  6. For icing, mix granulated sugar, strawberry syrup, lemon juice, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over cooled cookies.
