  • Cornbread (1 pan, 9×13 inches)
  • 12 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 large onions
  • 4 stalks celery
  • Fresh sage
  • Fresh thyme
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Turkey stock (or chicken stock)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
  • 4 tablespoons cold butter (chopped)
  • Kosher salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Tear cornbread into chunks and let it dry overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F and bake cornbread until dried out.
  3. Cook chopped turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and sauté onions and celery in the remaining grease.
  4. Combine dried cornbread, cooked veggies, turkey bacon, melted butter, stock, and beaten eggs in a bowl.
  5. Spread mixture into a greased baking dish; top with cold butter pieces.
  6. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes; uncover and bake at 450°F for an additional 20 minutes until golden.
