  • 1/4 cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped caramel squares
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat.
  2. Cut caramel squares into small pieces.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix chocolate chips, chopped pecans, and caramel pieces; set aside half for topping.
  4. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda in a small bowl.
  5. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and both sugars until fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients along with most of the add-ins (reserve half).
  7. Form dough balls using a cookie scoop; press reserved add-ins onto each ball.
  8. Bake cookies for 10-14 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
