Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons dry apple juice or white apple vinegar
- 2 tablespoons salted butter

- 1 stalk celery (minced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ½ pound shrimp (peeled and chopped)
- ½ pound lump crab meat
- 3 cups seafood broth or chicken stock
- ½ cup full-fat milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Seasonings: paprika, cayenne pepper, Old Bay seasoning, salt, black pepper
- Fresh parsley and lemon wedges for garnish
Instructions
- In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, melt the butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and celery, cooking until soft. Mix in garlic.
- Sprinkle flour over vegetables; stir continuously for about 2 minutes to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in seafood broth until smooth; bring to a gentle simmer.
